Finding a therapist can be a difficult task. Potential clients are seeking to have a certain level of comfort prior to actually meeting a therapist. Below is a summary of my journey toward becoming a professional counselor. My hope is that you will find the information helpful in your therapy decision.
I am a therapist providing therapy and counseling services for the western and southern suburbs of Denver, Colorado. I am a licensed professional counselor with
a Ph.D. in Christian Counseling from Northwestern Theological Seminary. On my way to becoming a therapist, I have earned a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, Lone Tree, Colorado Campus.
In addition to being a therapist and managing my private practice, I am currently an adjunct professor at Colorado Christian University where I teach for the College of Adult Education. I teach courses in counseling, psychology, marriage and family, sociology and business management.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I started my career in the corporate world as a sales and marketing consultant. While working for a corporation, I pursued and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Management. After 6 years of working in the corporate world, I switched careers to work in the non-profit industry for the next 7 years. My non-profit experience involved business development, counseling, business leader networking, volunteer coordination and various other leadership roles. This experience impacted me so much that I decided to pursue further education and graduate with a Masters degree in Counseling. Thus, my career as a therapist began.
I own a thriving private counseling practice where I provide therapy for men, women, children and teens concerning a large variety of issues that include, for example, depression, anxiety, relationships, teen & child issues and self esteem.
Through my life experiences, I believe I can easily identify with and understand your life issues. I can provide you with therapy that can give you direction needed to go from a place of being stuck to a place of making progress.
